The Triforce - An interactive audio-visual installation - 2010
56 real life pyramids
Role: Producer of The Triforce, Exhibition Project Manager and Exhibition PR Representative.
The Triforce is a project me and 4 classmates worked on during 4 weeks for the Experience Technology” module at Hyper Island. The task was to create something interactive by using a technology in an unusual way. Our audio-visual installation was voted as one of the top 5 in the exhibition. As a result of that - we were offered to go to London to exhibit for a bigger audience. Our installation was featured in the Swedish Metro paper .
More about The Triforce
The TRIFORCE is basically a triangular- grid system containing animations and ambient sounds. The whole grid is projected on a wall filled with real life pyramids made of rigid paper. The projection of the pyramids gives the user an illusion of interactive 3-D triangles on the wall infront of them .
The network of triangles are interactive and reacts to a Light Glove which is given to the user when entering the room of the TRIFORCE. The Nintendo Wii remote picks up the position of the Light Glove and therefore triggers music and animation to appear on the wall. The Light Glove is basically the tool that will enable you to create your own piece of music or art piece.
The goal of the entire TRIFORCE is to let the user feel greatly influential and in control of the art piece. The users are given a chance to apply their hands to create something brand new, unique and technology driven. Analog movements combined with digital technology, makes the whole experience of the TRIFORCE very vibrant, fun and vivid!
